Welcome to website of Technocrats' Association of Australia Inc.
Technocrats ' Association of Australia condemns the frequent incidents of violence against Indian students in Australia. In particular there has been a spate of attacks recently which has left some unfortunate students fighting for their lives.
It is clear that the security of the Indian students is a critical issue and a number of incidents have occured over a period of time. These attacks against law abiding and responsible Indian students is totally unacceptable.
We hope that the extensive coverage these disgusting attacks have received in the media will lead to stronger action by the police to bring the culprits to justice and also jolt the government authorities into providing appropriate protection for students from India. It is high time for all of us in the Australian community to recognise the contributions made by these overseas students to our economy and reciprocate by providing appropriate protection to the overseas student community.
We pray for the speedy recovery of those students who are currently fighting for their lives as a result of these attacks.
If any Indian student wishes to discuss any attacks they have faced or experienced any other issues with their security, they can contact representatives of Technocrats ' Association at the following contacts

TAA together with Migrant Resource Council (MRC), organised a very successful migrant settlement seminar on the 18th October 2008. Attended by many dignitaries and members of the community, the seminar provided important pointers to new migrants and students, assisting them in settling down in Australia.
